Activities Africa Bike Week ~ April 2010

Highlights!

  • Saturday 24th – Stunt Show at 18h00
  • Sunday 25th – Mass Ride from 10h30
  • Sunday 25th – Night Stunt Show @ 19h00
  • Monday 26th – Ride in Bike Show
  • Tuesday 27th – Public Holiday (Trading ends at 17h00)

The fun is not limited to H.O.G.® members or Harley-Davidson® riders. The event is open to all bikers in search of a South African adventure. Riders arriving in Margate can participate in a jam-packed line-up of happenings including official H.O.G.®  and Harley-Davidson® merchandise and demo rides in the Harley Village, the Tennessee Traders Aftermarket and live entertainment on the beach for the whole family.

The programme features include live bands, non-stop street parties, VIP lounges and bars, ride-in bike shows, a flag parade and mass rides. Event and H.O.G.® merchandise will also be on sale in Harley Street

Bike Events

The 2010 Africa Bike Week™ event culminates in a mass ride on Sunday, 25th May April, with the line-up departing from 10:30am. The parade is an event highlight where spectators can experience the sound and spectacle of thousands of bikes descending on Margate. The ride sets out from Shelly Centre in Shelly beach and is led by the Flag Bearers from each H.O.G.  Africa Chapter.

Shopping

Our Tennessee Traders Aftermarket will offer you a wide range of products. Following last year’s successful expansion and development, the customer Area will be bigger and better than ever before.

Official venues will roll out the red carpet to welcome all to ABW.  Offering special menu's, SAB and Jack Daniels promotions andgiveaways, entertainment and extended trading hours

General Information

  • Safety is paramount - ride carefully and wear protective clothing at all times.
  • You are obliged to wear your helmet - it is the law!
  • Harley-Davidson Motor Company is not liable for any accidents on the way to or from the event or during the event itself.
  • Do not drink and ride - use the shuttle bus or taxi service.
  • For 2009 again a one-way system will be in place around the lake to control the high volume of traffic. Please ensure you obey the one-way system rule at all times, day and night for your own safety and that of others.
  • Photographers will be in action during the event. If you do NOT wish your photograph to be taken, and possibly used in H.O.G.® or Harley-Davidson® publicity material such as Hog Tales® and the Harley-Davidson® internet sites, please inform a member of staff at the H.O.G. Hospitality area.
