The Margate fishing pier is located to the south of Margate main beach, off shore from Marine Drive, and was constructed entirely on top of rock bed. It is one of Margate’s most popular fishing spots and tourist attractions. The Margate fishing pier was damaged by the floods of 2007 and was restored at a cost of over R4 million.

Situated on the foothills overlooking Port Edward, Beaver Creek farm was bought in 1984, with the first coffee crop planted in 1986. Three years later Doug and Ed harvested their first crop of Coffea Arabica. Over the next ten years they established the reputation of their homegrown coffee, winning over many coffee converts in the KZN area.

Wild water rafting on the Umzimkulu River provides a fun filled adventurous day outing. It comprises of two routes, one, a relaxed paddle with three memorable rapids and a second more exciting route which lasts a full day.
What was at first considered a crazy idea soon turned into a reality as the late Corky Kelly constructed Riverbend Crocodile Farm in Southbroom on the South Coast of KwaZulu Natal, South Africa .Home to more than 200 adult nile crocodiles and numerous juveniles of all sizes, tourist visiting Riverbend Crocodile Farm are able to view the crocodiles in their natural habitat
Wild Abseiling at Oribi Gorge is definitely for the more adventurous. It is presently the highest natural commercial abseil in the world at 110 meters. The first 45m is a cliff abseil where one traditionally abseils with their feet against the cliff while the remaining 65m is a free abseil allowing one to take in the beauty of the gorge from a different angle. The Wild Gorge swing is an awesome experience that leaves you breathless but exhilarated. Situated a the top of Lehrs falls, it is the highest swing in the world. One steps or jumps off the waterfall to swing into the depths of the gorge in a 100m (33 Storeys) arc. Unbelievable!!
Fishing is very popular among South Coast residents.With many local good fishing spots, you are sure to catch “the big one”, and have some really great fishing experiences.Local fishing charters are also available, if you prefer to catch off a boat.
Horse riding is available at Lake Eland Game Reserve and Oribi Gorge Hotel, each unique in terrain
Pure Venom Snake and Reptile Park is set on one of Izotsha's oldest and most beautiful estates and just inland from Shelly Beach. Pure Venom's collection of indigenous and exotic reptiles are dwarfed by massive serpentine Wild Olive trees dating from the late 1800's when they were first planted.
Kart Freaks have had crowds on the South Coast burning rubber on their Go Kart track for 12 years. With Go Karts (6.5horse power/ 200cc Honda engines) reaching speeds of up to 85km, this is an adrenalin rush for young and old.
Tom Dick & Harry the Great British Seafood Restaurant, Bar and take away is situated in the Ramsgate Boulevard on Marine Drive in Ramsgate. A collection of more than 600 unique beer cans (and growing) is on display in the pub and Squeeky, the resident "Teaser" African Grey Parrot does her best to make the guests feel more than welcome.
